GARY LEWIS BROWN

BALLINGER - Gary Lewis Brown, 53, of  Ballinger died Friday, March 19, 1999, at 10:41 p.m. in Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, after a lengthy illness.

Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March  21, in Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel  with the Rev. Winford Gore and the Rev. Bill Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born Oct. 27, 1945, in Ballinger to Lewis S. and Ada Patton Brown. He graduated from Ballinger High School and attended San Angelo State University. He later graduated from the  School of Pharmacy at the University of Houston in 1976.  A Marine veteran of the  Vietnam War, he was a pharmacist and a member of the First Christian Church in  Ballinger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis S. Brown, in 1965.

Survivors include a son, Matthew Brown  of New Braunfels; his mother, Ada Thompson and her husband, James, of  Ballinger; a brother, Stephen Brown and  his wife, Ellen, of San Angelo; a sister, Beverly Brown of Durham, N.C.; a  stepsister, Sherrie Love and her  husband, Clay, and their son, Cole, of Talpa; a nephew, Chuck Brown and his  wife, Jenni, and their daughter, Megan, of San Angelo; and a special cousin, Pat Bell Smith of San Angelo, and her family.
